Finding Joy in the Journey

Since Derek and I are getting married, I thought it would be a good idea to start a blog for our little family, seeing as this is a great way to update those who care more in detail about the happenings of our life. As of right now we are still engaged and the countdown is slowly making its way to zero. August 14th is the day we are being sealed in the Oakland California Temple. My favorite! And the place where Derek actually proposed. Those sacred grounds have a lot of meaning for us and thus we decided it to be the best place to get married! I still sometimes can't believe this is actually happening..it's almost still surreal! Everyday we slowly merge our lives together, I see more and more of reality setting in. Invitations are being sent out, we've planned our school careers, we've bought a BED, and we've definitely spent some savings on a little 2bedroom, 1bath apt. #408 at The Rexburg Plaza. Life is happening. Time is moving forward and for once I feel like I'm keeping up with it. Derek and I will both be Juniors next year-which only means two more years left! Where has the time gone?! What exactly are we doing with our lives?! But you know what, I love it. I love the choices I've made thus far and I know Derek does too. For those who don't understand for one reason or another, than that's ok. You might not now, but one day you will. I'm one hundred precent positive of it. This is "The Start of Us." Join us, laugh with us and enjoy life with us. This is where the magic begins!
