Anyways, some recent updates include seeing Brooke White in concert and watching Derek play in the JV Competitive Basketball Campionship game. He played great but unfortunately lost. A highlight of the game was watching him make a 3 point buzzer shot right before halftime. It was epic.

Voy a la tienda para comprar los abarrotes.
So my latest goal is to learn Spanish. Now I'm not talking Spanish-ling mumbo-jumbo, but actual fluent Spanish. So each week Derek has been teaching me small sentences and words. This week I learned "Voy a la tienda para comprar los abarrotes." Translation: I am going to the store to buy the groceries. It's been a good one to learn since I do it so often. I've also learned "Me da mas juego por forvar." Translation: Can I have more juice please? I know these sentences are simple but I've got to start somewhere and with Derek's help, I've been remembering all the words and phrases from my high school years. (3 years thank you) So it's been fun. The goal is to become fluent in a year and a half (by the time my friend Heather Andrus gets back from her mission from Florida-Spanish speaking!) That way we can converse and I can finally have a real conversation with my sister-in-law.

More to come. Life is about to get extremely busy these next two weeks, parents are coming to bring back Ava, 4th of July and lots of homework. We'll see how it goes. Until then, xox
